Estudio Desangles is an architecture, interior design, supervision and project management firm, located in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It was founded in 2021 by Lashmi Desangles, who has vast experience in Architectural and Interior Design in both residential, commercial and hospitality projects.
The firm has a design methodology that manages projects starting from their function or purpose to their final aesthetics, with great attention to detail. When designing we always take into account specific requirements, the context, and the target budget. We place ourselves in the user’s place to understand the spaces and give ourselves the opportunity to explore the sensations that we would like to transmit. We appreciate the play of color, textures and natural and artificial lighting.
We see each project as a living entity, with its own characteristics that must reflect the client’s personality, both in personal use projects, as well as the brand’s vision in commercial projects. When required, we help our clients develop their own brand or styles.
For us it is important that the client is involved in the important decisions of the project, so that the final result is in accordance with the initial vision. And we support them in making the process more pleasant.
Within our projects we consider the function, flexibility, aesthetics and durability of the materials, as well as their maintenance and use. We seek to create timeless projects that remain current over time.

Our founding architect has 26 years of experience in the design and supervision of Architecture, Interior Design, Supervision and Project Management projects in hospitality, commercial, institutional and residential projects. She has collaborated with local and international firms throughout her career. The majority of her experience is focused on hospitality and commercial projects, with experience from project conception, masterplan, architecture, to interior design. Lashmi Desangles is characterized by bringing the context and the local in each of her designs, always maintaining the quality and luxury of a high-end brand.
